| Hi, I have just cleared a circle in my garden & left in there 1 very small laurel & 1 very small magnolia. I plan to keep these down as I want to be able to see right down my garden. I am thinking about buying a miniature evergreen tree which flowers/blossoms throughout Spring/Summer, but do not know where to start....! Did think about something like a cherry blossom, but figure this will look like a stick in Winter!! Any ideas????? Please note I live in the UK, so plenty of rain, but this is a fairly sunny spot too! ![]() ![]() Thanks very much in advance!! Banjo Last edited by Therrin; 22nd April 2009 at 05:11 PM. |

You stated that you want to be able to see down the garden. well a tree is the wrong thing to plant, try looking at large shrubs i.e choisia ternata sunbeam, eleagnus limelight(beautiful smell), hebe mrs windum,(purple /blue flowers), Cytisus Battandieri pineapple shrub gorgeous blooms and smell then plant the edges with annuals while the plant you choose grows into the gap. 8 years landscape design and construction.
