Hi there Im not much of a gardener so bear with me... Recently had about 8 Little Gem Magnolias and 8 gardenias planted in my front yard (about 3 months ago) I have started to notice that the leaves are turning yellow - mostly the gardenias but also some on the magnolias. The gardenias look like they're on the way out. The magnolias don't look particularly healthy anymore either. They have been getting a fair amount of rain since being planted and they have a drip watering system installed also. Any suggestions on how i keep them alive? thanks MJS |

leaves on the gardenia will turn yellow with any change in water, temp, ect. Your problem is most certin in the root system. Was the planting hole big enough? Did the installers score the root ball? Was the wall of the planting hole rough or smooth? How deep was it planted? Any photos? Too much water could block oxygen to the roots. |
