Default land easement and effected trees

The county wants to purchace a portion of my tree farm They want to move the trees rather than pay me for them. These trees are 20 - 25 years old and planted in a clay soil. There are 8 cedars, 3 white pines, 4 blue spruce, 1 ash hardwood, 36 schumacker and 12 flowering shrubs. First of all what is the relocation success rate> Also if I had to replace the schumacker and shrubs at what cost would that be to me if they dont move them?
Any info would greatly help!

If they're paying for the relocation to elsewhere on your property I reckon that's fair enough.

Success rate depends on method, just get a contract for them dying, maybe 3 years, can take many years for them to die usually it's in the second year.

Also there will have to be before and after transplant care, make sure it happens.

To get market prices you really need to shop around wholesalers and large tree farms etc to see what the going rate is. Ask for both planted and just delivered.

You can search the forum for transplant there's lots of info that will guide you for best and worst practice.
