Default Japanese Blueberry trees flowering

We live in Houston, TX and have three 25-30' tall trees set close together. We moved into the house last Spring. I've never noticed any flowers.

Because we haven't had any rain for a month with which to wash off the pollen/seeds/whatever, "stuff" is sprinkling down like snow - which is clogging the pool filters and driving my husband mad. This did not happen last year. I assume this is from flowers although they must be so high in the tree that you can't see them.

Any idea of what is going on with them and how long will it last? Thanks.

A better description of "stuff" is in order - perhaps a picture?

Jap. blueberry in Central Texas isn't much of a problem about shedding "stuff."

Could the "stuff" be coming from another tree?
