Hi, I recently had some landscaping put in this summer (around late July). Everything going well so far. I have a Japanese Blueberry (I think that's what it is...can't remember what they put in) and recently I noticed some branches breaking and one or two small ones have fallen to the ground. Before calling the landscaping company I figure I'd ask here to see if there was something wrong or if this is common with very new trees like that. I have a couple pictures. Thank you for any comments.

thats planted incredibly close to the building, which way does the wind mainly prevail from on that corner? also some close us of the root flare and the affected area

Usually a fairly tough resilient tree/shrub. Those fine breakages look like wind damage. Really need to see the base of the tree too, and I agree, little close to the house unless you hedge trim it.

Here are some more pictures, one of the base of the tree. I also added a picture showing the tree's distance from the house.

Looks like it's been planted too deep. Carefully dig around the tree with hand trowel etc to find original grade and basal flare. Search the forum for:- grade change fill trees soil increase

Looks like mechanical type of damage, maybe kids kicked a ball in there too? But doesn't look like a disease/fungi etc.
