Hello all I am new to the the world of tree knowledge and I'm looking for some help with a landscaping item. The tree I'm looking for is quite common here in Missouri..I see it everywhere. It is a small tree, weeping in shape with a straight strong trunk and branches that are symetrically bent towards the ground. Example sighting...in islands at drive thru windows of McDonald's or other. This tree never seems to grow very large and is always very straight. Is this description too vague? |

deciduous. The branches look like they are growing out of the top of a broom handle, growing up slightly and then curve rounded and gracefully straight down. |

See if it's the same as the tree in this thread. ![]() http://www.treeworld.info/f2/help-we...pics-2893.html

Honestly, I'm not sure. This looks very similar, but the branches seem to be a little heavier and symetrical on what I see around here. The branches also seem to be all of the same length, stopping about 2 or 3 ft above the ground, or maybe they are just trimmed to that now that I think about it. Thanks for the pic and I'll research this variety a little and see if this what I'm after. |
