| An actual photo might help but if I had to guess maybe a yellow[slash] pine.

| Funny you mention that JayD. The young lady who did the magnetic decals for my truck sent me a whole palette of tree icons to pick through. That pictured tree (albeit with a different background) is an almost exact match to one of the one's she sent. The palette had something to do with fonts and such, and were more like artists renditions of examples of tree forms, and not actual representations of living trees. It may be close to some species though.

| It might be what newguy18 said: - Slash Pine Pinus eliottii. It's from the South of the US so let them (the locals) answer. Most Aussies and Kiwis wouldn't know it, unless they were in forestry. It's used as the alternative to Pinus radiata. Widely used in Forestry in that part of SE Qld behind Tin Can Bay, Wide Bay, south of Hervey Bay, inland from Fraser Island. I don't think it's grown in the UK, so that makes the second and third answers (from JayD and Therrin) possibilities too if the question came from someone in the UK (that is, an idealised tree suitable for a decal). |

| Am I allowed to switch camps? lol I've seen stuff like that up above Yosemite in the Tuolemne Meadows area, up close to the timber line It's been several years now so I didn't remember it till I saw the pictures of the ponderosa pine. That is... if that is what that is a representation of.

| if indeed it would be a slash pine then around here they are notorious for breaking in half. They don't usually devolp rot unless of course they are dead but just weak codominant stems and overall soft wood. Slash pine I have one in my back yard that doesn't follow the natural growth pattern of them because its out in the open.

| It seems to be more popular over here espically on pickup trucks so if you decide to sell your truck you can keep your biz logos. Its a heck of a lot cheaper than a paint job.
