Can anyone tell the name of this tree? It's evergreen and has small white flowers. Thanks. ![]() |

Hello jhan, you'd get a more acurate id if you could post pics of leaves, bark, any flowers/fruit even old ones and a shot showing the leaf pattern or arrangement on the branch/twig |

Almost looks like an avacado to me. We had one in Monterey at one place I rented with my brother there. Evergreen, long lobed leaves, smooth margins. The lady that owned the house planted it from an avacado pit 50 years earlier. Avacados from pits are self-sterile (no fruit). Other than that I would have to see the flowers and go by a key from the leaves, stems, bark and flowers. SF has millions of trees that many immigrants brought with them from places like Italy. Anyway, best I can do with the photos. |

Hi Guys, not sure if its an avocado windthrow, leaves usually have distinct margins and lighter leaves, usually the upper canopy stems are green and secondary trunks are also green, would no think that the base area with the burling is tipical either, hard to say tho, just my two cents http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...itnfoliage.jpg |

It's not avacado.
