I found this in a someone's backyard and I'm trying to figure out if it's a large weed, or if it's a tree. I also got some pictures of the flowers. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Being just a simple layperson, I'm not really familiar with this kind of stuff so I hope you folks can help me out here. ![]() ![]() |

Joke? no? I mean, I know we judge it by "if it's big enough to fall on you and kill you then it's a tree", but it's some strange species. Kinda looks like it could be either. Maybe it's just a big bush.

Hi Ken I believe the plant genus is canabaceae sativa I believe its a female by the white hairs.

OK, Ken, This appears to be a weed, that was once in your constution to grow to be a good American, it looks to me to be Hemp, Cannabis sativa, or Cannabis indica untill a certain chemical company pulled the wool over the goverments eyes. Old Henry ford made a car out of this plant too I believe.

| Ok yeah it was a joke.I've noticed an influx of folks posting pictures of weeds and asking if they're trees so I thought I'd mix it up a little. That's a BIG weed in the first picture though. Damn! |
