My neighbor's tree looks like it is drying and he is wondering what he can to help it revive. Tree is about 40yrs old and has sentimental value to him. Any help would be great thank you all in advance.

Except for the old fruit on the tree, there don't seem to be any buds. Are you sure the tree is alive?
