I have three Ficus trees, 12 years old, 25 to 30 feet tall. I have roots that are above ground and are a real ugly site. Can I cut the roots out without killing the trees? |

NO Cutting roots is a bad idea.............. surface rooting is verry common with that species, removal and re plant would properly be the only way to solve that issue, IMO surface roots are another feature of the tree.............

Thank you for your reply. I have had tree "experts" tell me both answers. I think I will try and figure out another avenue.
