fake trees

Recently read or heard in passing that scientists are working on imitation trees that take co2 out of the air and give off oxygen (maybe even give shade as well).

I will have to search for this. Sometimes you read so much that it is only later on that you start thinking why didn't I save that info.

Anyway has anyone else heard of this. Supposedly it is an improvement in that they work all seasons and dark or light conditions are irrelevant.

Fake trees may signal the end of our profession?
