Dying Nitschke Needle

Default Dying Nitschke Needle

Can you please help? our Nitscke Needles have started dying. Firstly a branch dies and now the whole top of the tree is dying

Cupressus sempervirens

In my experience these are more suitable to Mediterranean style climates, not wet summers and high humidity. I bet it's fungal disease and they go bad in real wet weather and go bad in drought.

Do a soil pH test, moisture test etc. We need to see around the base of the tree, make sure no interference has gone on etc.

They respond best to a copper based fungicide, hard to spray due to size, hard to inject, hard to soil drench. If they are front yard then honestly it would be best to get an EWP to it and spray the whole tree with fungicide. If in the backyard then you likely need some-one to come and assess how to treat it.

Even Bunnings sells copper oxychloride.
