I have an old apple tree full of fruit...at first we thought one of the branches was drooping from heavy apples...but closer look last night and all the branches are starting to drag. It almost looks like it's not getting any water however between the main branches at the base stump is a hole and one branch looks like it will break off at any time. Is it too late to save this tree? Thank guys |

Thinning of fruit and propping of heavy fruit laden branches is common practice. Next pruning season you'll need to address the structural issues of the tree but for now, do you best to get through harvest.
