Default Does removing terminal buds make for a weak tree

Hi All,

I have been removing terminal buds from murraya's on the side of the house to try and stimulate growth as well as adding plenty of seasol. We are on a loamy clay soil which holds water quite well.

I was curious of what peoples opinions are if removing the terminal buds will create a structually weaker plant etc

Cheers Jules
