Hello, I have a two year old tree that was assigned to me through a municpal shade tree program. Unfortunately, I do not know the type of tree (maybe someone can tell me). This is the problem: All of the leaves on two of the branches are brown, rotten, and dead-looking. The rest of the tree appears healthy. I live in Northern California, USA. Thank you kindly. |

Appears to be bacterial leaf scorch (BLS) caused by the bacillusXylella fastidiosa. Xylella fastidiosa - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Cure unlikely. Treatment possible but must be done yearly. No cure currently exists. Replacing the tree would be the best idea. |
