Understand there may be a variant of the copaifera lansdorfi that is able to grow in the colder climes of northern California. There is a reduction in the diesel production for that variant. It was reputed to be of the euphorbia family, but I can find nothing in that family that looks to be it. Can you tell me if there is a copaifera lansdorfi variant that can tolerate cooler temperatures? I have read that some grow on mountainsides among deciduous trees. A tropical tree at present although some folks are working on a tree that will tolerate cooler climes. See The Diesel Tree: Grow Your Own Oil : TreeHugger for more information. 50 - 60 liters per year of pure diesel - no refining needed - just simple straining - tap them like a sugar maple. They are planting them in Queensland, Australia. |

It looks like a profitable thing to do for a farm. It can provide sustainable power to a generator and diesel equipment. The lead time is too long for me. I am already getting significant results generating hydrogen to augment my mileage so I think I will have to pass on these wonderful trees. Thanks for your reply. |

How are you producing hydrogen? What kind of results are you getting (increase in mileage)? |

Cracking hydrogen from water using my electrical system. I have a '93 diesel truck that increased from 10 mpg to 20 mpg and runs a whole lot better. After Christmas, I will build a six pack for my car and try to fool the computer's O2 sensors.

I'm curious to the design of your apparatus. Was it off the shelf or did you put it together yourself? I've seen advertisements for what appears to be a hot lead off the battery bubbling hydrogen out of water. Is that what you did? |
