Default Cedar and Spruce trees

I have 2 trees that I'm concerned about. I have a cedar that looks like it was hit by lightening a long time ago and is leaning 5 degrees towards my house. I also have a spruce tree that looks like its damaged or burls? Should I be concerned about these trees next to my house? (pics). Thanks.

1st pic looks bad, looks like soil level has gone up and the swelling .... not good. Big warning bells.

2nd pic, also soil level raised, warning bells.

Buried trees can maintain their foliage and colour etc, yet become unstable and fall. Get a fair dinkum arborist out to check these trees.

What, ya gonna whip them into shape?

Get the flamin chainsaw mate!

But seriously, if you really wanted to keep them you possibly could do stuff too, heck, some people even save dead rotten trees from chainsaws (habitat value excluded from argument).

I would save it if it was worth it, but I don't want to take the chance them being so close to the house. I don't like cutting down any tree unless it's a threat, especially if it's going to turn me into a pancake while I'm sleeping. Every time I cut down a tree I plant a couple more in my yard. Besides, where I live in the boonies there's still plenty of trees to go around even long after I'm gone.
