Default Can anyone help me ID this type of tree?

Currently, I can't post pics but can describe the tree. It appears to have pea pods in groups hanging from it. Does anyone know the kind?

Thanks

To be honest I'm not an expert but I do know the Wisteria does have large pods that hang. The tree has a twisted vine type of trunk and beatifully fragrant purple flowers.

Not sure if this is the one your looking for.

We need pics! There are millions of trees with hanging pea pods! Are they flat and turn brown? Are the leaves ferny? And come up in the millions?

If it's small umbrella-shaped tree it may be a redbud, very common in Clayton. Are you near the new bypass?
