Hello to All---Glad to be aboard- I planted a 6 to 8 foot camphor tree in dry sandy soil in central Florida. I followed the nursery instructions for planting and it seemed to be doing good. I have a sprinkler system and the tree gets watered for about 30 min., three times per week I fertilize all my trees and shrubs spring and fall. Everything is growing good except this camphor tree. It has added limbs and looks healthy, but it has increased height very little in the four years since planted. I have increased and decreased watering, but nothing changes. It gets full sun. Can anyone head me in the right direction? Thanks--phillip

| ![]() Is it the Cinnamomum camphora? Any chance of some pics? Your climate is very similar to here, I suggest you read over the fertilizer and soils part of this website. Sandy soils leach nutrient ... spent mushroom compost is a great way to build "body" into a sandy soil. Qualified tree care professionals in Brisbane
