Default camphor root decay

Anyone have comments / citations as to camphor’s ability to withstand root severing near the trunk edge?

thank you!

I have pruned roots on camphors over the years. They usually take it well If the cuts are clean on younger to middle aged trees. Older trees are more tempermental and do not heal as well so are more likely to let pathogens in which is a problem here in Florida. Austraia is probably not as disease prone.
