Default black specks on concrete under trees

I have a concrete dog kennel under two trees. The trees are walnut and locust. Small black specks appear on the concrete. Which tree is dropping them?

Default Re: black specks on concrete under trees

Sap suckers feeding on the leaves are likely excreting a product called honeydew which fungal sooty mould has grown on.
