Default Bio Control

How dose one go about dealing with a cottony cushion scale infestation with vedalia beetle? Where would you get the beetles? Cany you just buy them some where?

In Oz we can but bugs, like here.

Cryptolaemus - mealybug predator - Integrated Pest Management by Bugs for Bugs

But for you, you have to look.

Try this place and ask them who else etc.

Koppert Biological Systems supplies home gardeners and professional growers bumblebees for pollination and beneficial insects for pest control.

Thanks. I have been looking into things and it looks like what we call Ladybugs "Hippodamia convergens" are easy to get. Many websites sell them for gardens. I guess the problem was I was looking for the ones from your side of the world because they are said to be the best at controlling the type of scale I have. They might not be as good but they are cheap and I am sure a lot easier to get. I will give it a try and let you all know how it works out.

Thanks for the help.
