Default Arizona Ash dying branches

Here in south Louisiana. I have an Arizona Ash that I planted 10 years ago. I have noticed in the last six to eight months that leaves begin yellowing and then dying at unusual times. Subsequently, the branches end up dying as well, while the rest of the tree in vibrant and green. I noticed that the branches that are dead/dying have pink splotches with small black dots on them. Any ideas on what is going on? I used to fertilize the tree every spring and fall but have neglected to do so over the last two years. Thanks for any input!

Sounds interesting. Can you POST SOME PICS so we can see the leaves - normal leaves (and they are compound leaves with several leaflets per leaf) and afflicted leaves, whole tree - closeup of trunk and base and general area where growing? Without pics can't say much.......

The snide remark would be look at the name - Arizona ash - not Louisiana ash.

These trees grow naturally in dry climates (not Louisiana) in dry soils.

The problems you will see each and every year with the tree is ash anthracnose. Treatment is worthless (or useless.)

The fungal leaf problems will go away when ever it gets hot and DRY.
