We live in the high desert in Southern California. Our front yard is a dryscape with drought tolerant plants. We have been able to figure out what all of the plants are except for this tree. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

An acacia of some sort? Not much foliage on it... Those little buds should become little yellow round flowers.

Could be an Acacia cognata that's lost a lot of leaves?

Thanks for the help everyone. You were right about it being an Acacia. Looks like it is actually a Shoestring Acacia. Mystery solved! Woo Hoo! |
