Default American Elm age

I have a fairly large and healthy American Elm in my front yard. I was told recently that large American Elms are getting harder to find so I became somewhat interested in how old it could be. I looked for calculators online that could give an idea of how old it is, but couldn't find anything directly associated with Elms.

Hopefully some of the tree experts here could give me an idea. I took some measurements that can hopefully give you an idea. The circumference is 106" with a diameter of just under 3 feet. The crown is quite wide. I'm estimating it to be 40-60 feet wide. As far as height, I'm estimating it to be 60-70' tall. We did have a very powerful summer storm blow through about 10 years ago though that broke off some large sections of the tree. I'm assuming it could have been even taller if that wouldn't have happened.

Below are a few pictures. In the winter picture, the American Elm is the largest tree seen in the front yard. The other smaller trees are Hackberrys.

I need to get a full size picture of the whole tree, but this is all I have on my computer as of now..

Thanks for any insight!

Wow, no guesses? I figured this would be somewhat interesting since apparently mature American Elms are rare these days.

Since I posted this I found a site that estimated street/urban trees. According to that site this elm should be 65-75 years old.

Here's a link to a site I found in determining the ages of residential trees.

Good on you, I'm not familiar at all with the species but she's grand alright.

Those winters sure look like I'd rather be elsewhere.
