Hey, ive never climbed on a tree motion, i know lots of people that have and do on a regular basis, and they all love it. i climb on a tree austria II its a great working harness, id recomend it, plus its a few hundie bones cheeper than the tree motion. and looks like it will handle more abuse. im going to look into the new tree austria III for my next harness. i got a mate with a tree magic real light, super comfortable he says. still the same price as a tree motion here tho. good luck with your purchase!

I tried one on once and went for a bit of a climb in it. Super dooooooooooooooooper COMFY! When I retire my buck traverse I will be grabbing one of these little beauts' only problem is that they're so soft, when you add the weight of a chainsaw it does make the harness wanna sagg as Jim1NZ (he owns one) told me in a previous post.

if its what you want and you got the cash go for it.I just bought the navaho vario off of osb mail, should be here next week.A few guys here said they didn't like it,but i usually buy what catches my eye, besides i don't like hard seat saddles or soft seat ones either.

I reckon the petzl sequoia is as good or better than treemotion at a much better price.

| Absolutely. Had mine for over a year now, sure there are some signs of wear but ill buy a new one every 3 years with out a doubt. For comfort, adjustability, maneuverability, light weight, custom gear loops, replaceable parts, and all in all quality it cant be beaten. I tried the Sequoia and a coulpe of Petzl full body harness, tried the Tree magic, tried the Tree Austria, tried the Ergovation, tried all the buckingham stuff and owned a butterfly. TM hands down. I would recommend to anyone. I was being extremely critical when i said its not so good with a saw hanging off ya but its the truth. The Tree Magineers did bloody well developing that harness and continue to do so, good on you fullas. Cheers James

What to say? I use my Buckingham Glide II, unbeateble for long hanging. Once tried the T. Motion, squeezed my balls! This is my impression only, obviously...!

I've been climbing in it for over two years now... And I've tried all the other ones too. If you wanna invest seriously in a new harness, there are a few things to think about... Treemagic is also a very good harness, but treemotion is better. That is if you buy one wich has been fitted with the new hardware because there havee been problems in the past due to sharp edges in the hardware parts where the sliding bridge is fitted. Normally those problems will be gone when fitted with the new type of rings. The way I see it... If you've been climbing in a treemotion for some time, no-one will ever have to ask you about other harnesses... there is simply no way one can be objective when trying out another one... Treemotion is nothing better compared to another harness. Invest a few hours in the set-up, and it will pay itself in comfort and ease of use. |

I Have a TM and really love it . Have never had any problem with it squeezing my balls. There is so many was to adjust it. Also I like the fact that you can take it (the pads ) and wash them when they get dirty. Love having attachment point where I want them. |

I have had my treemotion for about three years now I imported it from US I thought it would only last at the most two years but it is doing well I stiil use my Buckingham when I am doing large takedowns becouse it is more able to handle hanging a 660 of it than the treemotion (I have pulled the tool loop out once already). They say it has no pinch points but my privates say different.

hey ive been cliimbing in one for over two years now and havent looked back...however being a gear junkie i recently purchased the buckingham ergovation almost identical to the tree motion but has more back padding and comes in a variety of sizes...so check both out they are definetly the pick of the crop when it comes to buying a premium harness

Hey Cole, Care to expand on your thoughts on the Ergovation? I'd like to get some more feedback good or bad on these. |

hey trevmcrev how are you.. um i like the ergovation firstly because buckingham was smart enough to make a saddle like the ergovation that is almost the same as the tree motion. The first day i went to use my ergo i started to transfer all my gear from my tree motion to my ergo and realised that it wasnt quite up to the job as far as carrying the gear i take with me and organising it, i think the tree motion has far better gear attachment. i also prefered the tree motion because of the lower set of attachment points on either side of the bridge where as the ergo doesnt have this. however on the ergo the lego loops were better fitting and diddnt ride up as much as the tree motion the padding behing the waist buckle was very comfortable. i however use my ergo for industrial work because the shoulder straps with SRT attachment are PPE whereas the sholder straps for tree motion are not PPE...its great that they offer so many sizes in the ergovtion as well....the back padding was comfortable and i was also happy that batton seat was also an option... my opinion 8 out of 10

Any tree motion users find the leather straps on the inside of the leg (groin area) geting caught, its quite annoying

Not for me, I do find they rotate to an uncomfortable position after a while tho.
