G'Day all I operate a small property maintenance company and we do alot of tree work, I have had alot of interest from customers regarding stump grinding and wanted to know what size machine I would be able to get away with using with having the wrong tool for the job. I have seen alot of units that are quite large, require large trailers and come at a large cost. I am looking for something that is easily portable, lowish cost (probably second hand), easy maintenance and has the ability to grind stumps up to approx 20". Hope I have given you enough info to catch my drift. Thanks Justin |

Hi juzzo84, Quintrex is absolutely correct. If you are considering a compact, self propelled machine, either a Red Roo SHP400 or Stumphumper style would suit your requirements. If you dont require self propel, then you might consider a SG350 type machine. Consider how much you are going to use the machine eg is it your core business or are you offering the service as the odd value added service for your customer. |
