No problems at all mate, they ship fast and are a good crowd, they'll look after you.

There's no GST or customs Bullchit for any USA transactions under $1000 so order away, you may even find they get there quicker than your local dealer who's maybe trying to do the same magic trick.

Ozinus,

You're muddying up the water's here... you come across as arrogant. You send me a rude PM, but then on the forum, where everyone can see, you act all nice and peachy.
Originally, it had nothing to do with you as a person, I was disagreeing with what you had said. And from the way you had said it, I was inferring things about you. Instead of meeting that head on and taking me to task, you try to baffle me with BS... all the things you've done don't mean shyt to me as far as the reason I was disagreeing with you.

Who the hell are you mate. I join this forum yesterday and for the most part have felt positive feedback. I suggest to the world something I like as did many before me and you go off the handle at me. Yes I had a go with a PM I don't get what you are doing. Read again all things what arrogance have I portrayed in any way My original post was so neutral it hurts. What the hell is going on!!!!!!!!

Therrin, you started this with an assumption, and it was taken personally, primarily because your assumption was just that, making it look more like an accusation. And it had no basis, just your perception.

This is just me on the outside looking in.

Ozinus came on and stated
Quote:
I personally have zero time for anything rigid other than the spur shaft.
and we assume the spur itself, then went on to say
Quote:
Have always found it painful and unforgiving.
which gives the impression that you have actually tried the rigid caddy pads, found them painful and unforgiving (which they're not) and speak from experience of having used them. But from what's been told, it seems you have not had experience with the caddy pads. The feeling then becomes you are speaking from heresay, dogging something you have not tried. We wonder, are you locked into your way of doing, staunchly defending your way against other ways that you have not tried?

And Therrin, you need to look at how you come across and how it's perceived. Now you accuse Ozinus of muddying the water. Read back and look at where this started, and look at how offensive those comments were taken. You treat Oz's contribution as if it comes from a green-eared noobie. Question the man before assuming things publicly outward about the man.

Debate, compare and contrast. We're talking about frickin GEAR here, not attacking character, or even criticising another man's way.

It would be healthy to apologise to each other. That's how every good, dysfunctional family works. A lot of great info can be extracted when there's some passion about it, but it's drifted something emotionally charged and unecessary.

Get on track.

Ozinus, this is an isolated case, the first in a year that I've seen. Treat it as an anomaly.

This is a great oportunity to learn. Now, relax the hair standing up on your backs, apologise and let's move on with this.

i agree tm.its unhealthy to keep bickering and nit picking someones gear or technique to pieces.if it works for them and they like it[unless it will cause a tree damage or unnessecary wounds]leave them alone to each his own.i remember when he dogged me and treevet because we prefer freefalling wood from trees and he prefers lowering.we are all here to LEARN not to pick fights because someone doesn't share your same views.

It seems to me that one of the biggest drawbacks about forums is that it is often quite hard to know with certainty what emotion is being carried in the text that you read...simply because you don't actually hear the voice of the person writing rather you hear the voice in your head that you give that person.
For whatever reason we can all easily misinterpret what each other is actually trying to get across by putting the wrong intonation into the text they wrote....and once we head down that path its very hard to get away from the voice we've given them. As I have said on other forums use the smilies to clarify just what is intended or not intended....thats what they're for, they also break up long bits of text nicely.

Its ok to have the jip with someone when there's just cause, and just like life in the real world we're not going to always agree and get on with each other. However it would be better to be certain you're not getting hot under the collar for no reason, and generating big chunks of negative energy for yourself and others when the positive stuff in such short supply.

THAT, I have no idea where you got. I most definitely prefer letting the wood fly, only lower if I have to, like everyone else. I really try not to dog anyone, like you newguy...,. at least 200 times I could have told you you're ridiculous, but,
but I love you, Man!

See Ozinus and Therrin, wasn't that easy?

So last Summer I had these series of 6 takedowns, trees were about a half-hug around, 30-40' each, overhanging a 4-lane street at a 'T' intersection. The company who hired me wwer to pour concrete footers for posts for street lights. They needed me after the footers were dug, but before the concrete truck arrives.

I note that when I arrive, the excavating guys are finishing up, and I asked, "Are you guys leaving?" "No, we're waiting for the concrete truck, due one and a half hours from now.

Perfect

I say with blind assurance, "I'll need all 4 of your guys to help me."

"All right."

and then just for the fun of it I say,

"And most importantly, I'll need you too. Come on over when you all can."

Well I turned, and took off and it was one of the happiest moments, I just got a crew of 5+ a crew chief, and I don't have to pay them!

The best part, though, was that I had just recently gotten the dual-strap felt babies and had put them on the spikes and was going to use them for the first time.

I had gassed and oiled and sharpened the saw before coming over, so I just had to throw on the saddle and then, ooh-oh, la, la, time to put on
