Default Sintung pruner for hayauchi

Anyone use one yet? Just thinking the double pulley would get in the way when making the cut. But 2" cutting capasity?...WOW! I get alot of use out of my Corona Bull Pruner at 1 3/4" cutting capasity, but 2" would be nice.

The pruner head arrived today, and out of the box...I'm not impressed. Loose rivits, small diamiter string and thin metal. This pruner head will not hold up to daily use. It did cut well...but for how long?

I'll be using my Corona bull pruner a lot more than the Sintung.

I wish I read this post earlier! About a half hour ago I ordered one from Baileys for $57.95 US. The price in the cataloque was $62.95 so your explanation of the unit is probably the reason for the price drop.
I have had many good years of service from my Corona bull lopper, changed the knife and springs only once, never had to change the rope.
I quess I'll see what the Sintung will do for me.

I've only used it for one full day, and the knife is already nicked up. Very soft metal, easy to sharped, but will need to sharpen often.

Well my new Sintung bypass pruner finally came in the mail today. My first impression is consumer grade not commercial grade. We have heavy rain here today so it won't get a good workout but I did go in the backyard and lopped off a 2 inch limb from my neighbors maple. Very impressive cutting action. But looking at its components long term durability is not there. There was a small wing nut [what purpose I don't know] was loose. I put some red Loc-tite on it and re torqued it.
I can see its 2" capacity will be a good backup if I get my Corona Bull jammed like I have done before trying to cut limbs larger then its 1 3/4" capacity. Plus maybe for those really high limbs where its light weight will be easier to manage with that much pole.
