G'day Mark G. What part of the world are you from?

I've had alot of dealings with Rayco for my Arborist gear and get to see and talk about their machines alot with Rayco staff. They look very impressive!

http://www.newagearbor.com.au/rayco_rc12.html is the Australian link to the stats and specs for the Rayco 12 inch. When I do get my new chipper, I hope to purchase their 20inch.

I am in New Zealand and have been more than pleased with how soldier proof there stump grinders have been. With the bandit dealer here not carrying stock in the size I want for four months and the service I receive currently from the morbark dealer leaves alot to be desired. It seems rayco is an obvious choice.Just curious if those that currently own rayco chippers have had any issues.Oh nearly forgot vermeer is out with a friend having to pay 10k in reapairs to a bc1000 with less than a thousand hours.

Drum and the bearing I was told I was more interested in the cost for a realitively low hour machine.

I use a rc-12 here and there. I know someone with one. It is a nice machine It will chip every bit of 12 inches without a problem. It does everything but drag the brush for you. It knows when you are about to screw up and it will cut itself off. Like when you are almost out of fuel. It reverses the feed if something goes wrong too. I would also look at a Woodsman. Either way they beat my Chuck N Duck

Im putting a new anvil and adjusting the belts monday morning, personally i wouldnt buy a chipper with less than 2000hrs to many lemons out there IMO.

The Hatz diesel engine on mine is also in really good order, never run mine with dull knives.
