Default My trailers

I have 3 trailers on 16'X6'6'' Ifor williams trailer with ramps and de-mountable sides, I also have a Ifor williams 10'x5' tipping trailer, Ifor Williams trailers aren't the most expensive trailer in the UK but imo they are the best , I think they are available in OZ now.

I'll get some pics tomorrow, pitch black out there now. But i'll get some links and show you what they look like, my tipper is 3 years old and the 16' multi purpose is 4 months old, the great thing about Ifor Williams trailers is they are so versatile, a high sided trailer now, 10 mins latter a stripped down flat bed!

Both are a gross weight of 3.5 tons or 3500kg and both weigh around a ton or 1000kg maybe a little under

here's what my tipper looks like or did when it was all shiney and new

My multi purpose trailer is a twin axel this link gives you an idea what it looks like, as said in the above post this trailer like the tipper can be a high mesh sided monster one minute and a flatbed the next, and you don't need tools to strip it down either.

I'd like a tipping trailer, that one is like almost 10' long and 5'6" wide, that's huge.

It gives a loading height but doesn't actually say how high the sides are so you can figure out cubic capacity.

I have an 8x5 with high sides and it cubes out to almost 4m3

Mines not a tipper and emptying it can suck if you slashed a load down. Tippers almost double in weight over conventional trailers as you need a chasis plus another whole frame for the trailer/tipper part. That one at almost 1tonne empty would need a large 4wd like Landcruiser or truck pulling it I'd say. Think my little Bravo 4cyl would be struggling.

Nice trailers they build, only criticism I have is from experience I'd have the higher sides solid on the sides and mesh front and back. That way when driving empty wind can pass through but when tipping nothing gets stuck in the mesh on the sides. Maybe some 1.2mm sheet should suffice with all bracing being on the outside so you have a smooth inside for stuff to slide out.

Other benefits are when you leave the tip the wind cleans out the tray and the roadside gets mulched. Plus nice flat surface for sign writing.

Your bravo would pull it a peice of cake, very rarely would it go 3.5 ton with brush, mind you with palm logs It would be a different matter.

What engine have you got in the Bravo 2.5 diesel?

Nice idea about having a flat surface for lettering etc, the only snag for me is I take my sides on and off like my socks.

2.6l petrol, it's an oldie now but I own it.

My trailer is close to 500kg tare

Very snazzy trailers... We have 3 trailers and all of em are full of cocos logs teehee... One big one bigger then the one displayed on that link you put up Roller, the other about as big as the pic, and the other about as small as yours Eric.

Two of them are currently out of action... They need refabrication.... Prolly gunna happen in Jan when our slow period is...

I been trying to crack the whip at my dad (wink wink, nudge nudge) to get around to fabricating a tool trailer big enough to hold and secure all of our gear but small enough to reverse into our garage at night.
