Thanks! All our stump grinders and brush chippers can be found here.

Anyone see anything interesting when looking at the specs? Our 18" are heavy duty and we are currently investigating weights for the highest horsepowers for towing and registering.

What about the smaller 27hp 52 model, is there anything on it or was it shelved.

You cant hide things for long.
Does anyone know how these machines (sp52 i think they are called) are going or are Morbark still working on them.

The 27HP stump grinder had a petrol motor - it is the same machine as our 35HP diesel stump grinder - the reason the 27HP machine disappeared is that Morbark found noone wanted to run a petrol motor for this sized machine.

If you liked the 27HP machine the D52 is the same machine with a slightly larger motor. See here

Ok, narrowed it down to a 2004, 33hp cat diesel morbark 2060D disk, converted to 8 inch capacity, or 2000 model 66hp wisconsin petrol morbark 2070 7 inch drum chipper.

Anyone got any feed back or comparisons between the two?

much obliged

Wouldn't be the first time a guy tried to say his 6" is really an 8"

Sounds like it would be underpowered as an 8"

The 7" with double the hp would be a better proposition i think...

Your probably better off [depending on your work application] with the Cat 33hp 2060D. The 66 hp Wisconson gas 2070 would burn alot of petrol. I have conflicting figures on the 2070 ,some older ones were a 7" then the newer 2070XL was 10" with 35-89hp. The 2070 weighs over 4000 lbs[1880 kg] versus 2000 lbs[940 kg] for the 2060D. The 2060D has a 6" X 13" infeed opening and its Cat diesel is far more superior engine over the Wisconson gas engine.
Just my 2 cents.
Willard.
