Generally hydro driven on mini loaders are gutless,. but not sure how that one slews etc either.

i agree with ekka. hydros are usually gutless, this design looks very simaliar to dingo unit!? we are looking at buliding one for ourselves for the front of the dingo, with its own motor .little kubota for the donk. will post some pics when it gets off the ground.

Soutz

Can you get the basic chasis of the Kanga Terminator grinder without engine assy? If so, I'd work off that, bolt a donk on etc and mod the front end like in my video.

The Kanga pivoting and hydro system is real good, strong and compact, I'd give 9/10 ... downfall is gap between teeth and chasis a little tight means occasional lump of root/clay etc clogs the cutter wheel, but not that big a deal.

yeah.good idea mate.i agree, saw the kanga grinder at a demo and wasnt that impressed, partly because the operator was a salesman and had no idea how to grind a stump, teeth not sharp etc, also the motor directly over the top virtually of the cutting wheel meant that it copped a huge amount of dust. but seeing your vid i think kanga got the basic idea right but needed to be tweaked.it always needs a treeworker to teach the engineer how to make it better. the grinder is a good ask over here ekka about 19k. hope you were sitting down for that one, where as we can make one for about 6k. but as always open to any good ideas from the wise forum members

19K, that's a bit stiff, they obviously dont want to sell them!

I do think though I paid around $14 here a couple years back.

How about buying a second hand one that's knackered, rebuild it with new engine, you really just want the frame.

Nope, but you could try to advertise in The Australian Arbor Age equipment wanted. I know about a year ago a guy flogged one off for $6k, would have been perfect for your task.

People do trade them in too, try Kanga and their dealers. I have seen some old ones with the 20hp motor a while back traded.
