Default Maintenence gurus help please!Stalling 372xp

My previously unstoppable Husky 372xp had a branch come down and wack the handle. This broke the throttle lock, which I fitted a new one to the machine soon after and since then the saw is stalling when it gets worked hard especially when blocking down and the exhaust is close to the wood. I find this a bit frustrating and as my chippers crank shaft broke as well as my combi trimmers all within 2 weeks. Happy New Year, hope you can help.
I think i put it all back as it was and would rather not take it to a dealer due to impending costs from the chipper, cheers!

Bad seal or boot, check for air leaks,if you don't have a card seat tester, you can improvise by setting the carb in some gas and hooking up some fuel line to it and using a primer bulb to build up pressure, any leaks will cause the fuel to bubble, and means the carb is sucking air, then its just a simple matter of rebuilding the carb. Also pull the muffler and check for carbon build up,easly cleaned with either brake cleaner of some gas and a tooth brush.

I'd also do a Compression Test on the Engine as well, to determine if the Crank Case Gasket is OK, or not. Bruce.
