$435 USD, gotta be joking!

They ripped of the ART rope guides retrieval ball with the install concept of the FS ... you can do better rigging your own with a pulley and it's also retrievable.

Definately for gadget freaks.

hahah im inclined to agree with you. pretty excessive on the rrp there. clever idea tho. spose its gotta be at least as good as the rope guide with the bonus of being able to set it from the ground easily. otherwise why produce it. however looks like you cant choke it off on a stem like a rope guide tho.

The reviewer of the product only gave it 2 out of 5 stars I'm guessing due to problems in tight crotches. And where's all of the technical information? $435 and it doesn't even say what it's load rating is. I would expect better from Sherrill.

My boss sells it. He had one in before they were released to the public. Haven't gotten to use one as I can't afford it and I don't see someone wanting to buy a used one. They seem pretty cool though. The magnets are super strong and they're going to be releasing one soon just for rigging purposes, which it where I think it'd be handy. I'm not real sure how easy setting from the ground or retrieval from the ground would be. They seem kinda bulky and heavy. Thight crotches would be a pain. It's an interesting concept...

looks like a $150.00 rig at best. ill bet its a bugger removing it from a wrapped spar @ 50ft and prolly works best over a pre existing crotch. i have been thinking fer days about what I could use this thing for. ill finish this up 2mar.

Yeah I agree its a little pricey all right. You would have to use it every day to benifit from its use over the old style 2 ring friction saver. I use my 2 different lengthed friction savers when ever I'm in hardwood and have never got them jammed in a crotch or whatever.
But I really like the looks of this magblock and what it may do for me. Those pulleys or sheaves should make footlocking or whatever just a little bit easier.
Must admit someone was thinking when they built this thing.
