Default Kanga belt tensioner mod

Here is a couple of pics of the belt tensioner.It is on a off center cam with heavy bearings machined in.It fits in the original side cover.

Mark, can you get a closer pic for me. Can you show ro explain how you built it and where to get parts from, how it is mounted etc.

I am about to do some more work to mine and the belts I use are now manf in China, so not the same size and they're slipping whilst every other brand is too loose or too tight.

I will get some closer pics later on saturday after work.But in short I took a 5 belt pulley and machined it to three,receseed the pulley for the bearings.The post the pulley mounts to has a off centre bolt hole drilled into it so to tighten the belts use a pipe wrench on the piece the pulley mounts on and tighten the nut that is on the inside plate ie grinderwheel side.Make sense?Belt tension is a big thing on these especially with the crap honda motor as they have no real bearings on the out put shaft, so side loading on these motors is not a good thing.
