Well I have been trying to get the trailer lights wired up on this thing what a pain !This is the point I got to today turn on truck lights chipper lights work , right turn signal works ,left turn work , hit the brakes and the lights go out wtf . I also had the pleasure of running my truck out of gas . The fuel gauge is not working and thought I would be cheap and wait a will . Well guess 4 inches of fuel does not go as far as I thought . I kind of funny none of it even made me mad . I guess it was the fact that I had no real place to be today so it is better to get the bugs worked out when I am just messing around opposed to heading to a job.

Osb,

Could be an earth problem ... If the trailer isn't earthed to the vehicle well to complete the circuit.

It definately sounds like an Earth problem, What you have to do is run a wire from your trailer plug to a bolt on the chipper, I useually drill a small hole near the hitch and place the earth wire to it .This makes for a good earth, Here in australia our earth wire on the plug on our trailers is coloured white.
Maybe this will help you out.

Last month bought inner and outer air filters (paper inner, foam outer) for standard 25hp Kohler). All up about $70+
Love to know where to get them cheaper...Cheers
