Doing the good old ebay search for random things and came across this... thing. It doesn't look overly effective without an adjustable shoot for maximum chip collection, no lift/crush either. But I gotta give it 10/10 for creativity. mitsubishi,fm555,woodchipper,mulcher,business,truck,cherry picker, travel tower | eBay |

I have used a few of them, heaps of chipping power. That would be a 220hp turbo engine running the hydraulics! IMHO you would be far better with this type of unit than an underpowered chipper. Definently cheap enough, wish was closer i would have a look.

every time you think you come up with a new and original idea, there it is already done by someone else. I think its great. Would be all you need, maybe tack on a trailer with a kanga and a small tipping bin for heavy logs if you know you hhave a big job on. Perfect, all my ideas consolidated and put together in an efficient package (bastard!!!) |

Wasn't expecting to hear this was a slightly more common setup than I thought it was.

I was thinking more setup like that garbage compactor bin. That one you linked, I've seen that for sale since before I even got into the industry 3 years ago. I reckon the designs they have in Europe are awesome, theres just too many to try and link. Banyule council have a 6" on the back of a truck with a small tip bin. One of the guys who used to go to TAFE with us says the company he works for has tower/chipper/bin all in 1 truck for rural powerline clearing. |

I wish we had a truck like this for Plane trees. I can't imagine doing Plane trees all day eating all that dust.
