Default HIAB Problems

hey guys get a load of this had a UNIC super saftey HIAB fitted to 2006 FUSO
basically took the truck down to sydney to the crane place, and said we were looking for and he reccomended the unic one fitted to the truck $48,000, go to take the truck through registration and the front springs were neally flat...i was 1.3 ton over on the front axle so i tipped the bin to trasfer the weight over the back but still like 900+kg over so i ring the HIAB mob and told them about it, and long story cut short they are basically telling me that i just gave them a truck and said put a crane on it.....bullshit they should know weather the truck was sufficient and where to put it..NOT ME..the HIAB isnt too heavy for the truck it needs to be moved 1.5 feet back on the chassis...had to get the springs tempered and another leaf added, but now they wont accept liability for incorrect installation.....not sure if i should name and shame or not

Thats pretty bad! another customer relations fu** up why cant people just hold up thier hands and say "yes it was us we will fix it right now".
This problem is accross all industries and trades and people need to stop passing the buck and take responsibility for thier actions, do you have any evidence of the conversation and final choice was thier idea? get as strong a case against them and put it under the bosses nose and say i want this sorted now. then if nothing then i hate to say it but arbitration and courts are the only other way along with telling everyone you know.

If a customer is happy with a job they will tell 7 people. if they are dissatisfied with the job they will tell 27 people thats why it takes longer to build a good reputation than it does to get a bad one.

Name and shame, ensure you send them a link to it so they can respond, failure to respond on their behalf is near on admission of guilt. Then a process follows

1/ Go to your Dept of Fair Trading.

2/ If above fails lodge papers for a small claims hearing for the value of the spring work. It's small claims not small debt court as no debt exists just a claim over costs, they are not allowed lawyers here, ensure your $ amount is under what is the maximum ... usually $5K or $7.5

Also you are welcome to name and shame them here.

Hi Cole,

I was wondering how all this ended up?
Did they pay for their mistake? $48k is a lot to blow if they don't correct it!

Cheers,

Cam
