Default grcs handle modification

Hello all,
Never have posted here but here goes....

I have made a modification to my GRCS handle to answer the eternal question of what to do with the handle when it is not needed...

I took a spring clip from a tape measure and bolted it up to the handle.

Hi Frans,
Good simple idea, Makes you wonder why it wasn't done in the first place?.. We have two threads running along the lines of this topic, maybe you should have posted there?...Anyway I hope you enjoy your time at TreeWorld.
It just goes to show you any idea no matter how small can make a tool much easier to use.
All The Best

Welcome Frans

Once the clip is in place ... where do you clip it up to?

One of the problems I found in the field was the handle getting lost under debri on the job site, but is there a spot on the GRCS that's not in the way to clip it to?

Welcome Frans, geat idea.
I have painted the handle of my lowering device flouro just for that reason Ekka.
I have also seen the "two handle" handle at a yacht supply shop. Would be great for those lifts......then I saw the price!!!

Welcome Frans
That's a good idea, saves looking around on the ground for it.

Thanks for the welcome. As this is my first time posting here, I did not see the other threads discussing this. Way too much info to check so didn't see it. No disrespect meant JayD.

I clip the handle onto the yellow strap which holds the grcs to the tree. It seems to clip on and off easily.

This is a MODIFICATION of the handle. While I personally don't think that drilling the tiny hole in the handle and then filling it with a screw would weaken the handle, nevertheless, it may weaken the handle.
Sure would be a drag to have the handle break...

Welcome to treeworld Frans.Since I don't own a grcs yet I really can't say to much about it but it looks like a nice mod to the handle.
