Default Gecko ll Spurs

just got my new gecko ll spurs yesterday. used them for most the day, big difference going from the buckingham steel spurs to them. no flex in the shank and easy om the ankles. would never go back. what does everybody else think about them

I looking to upgrade my bashlin titanium spurs. really just want to change the pads to aluminun. May have to just get the geckos. I do know Ekka doesnt speak highly of them. I climbed for 7 yaers with pole gaffs and now i got longer spurs and life sucks. Its a world of difference. In 7 years i have only kicked out 2-3 times now, ahh so slippery. the only advantage I see in long gaffs are loose bark.(mature fir or shag bark hick). good luck with your geckos.

hey jockey the alloy geckos are really good, ive owned and used both, i brought the cf first,POLE GAFFS are my personal fav, dont like standing on stilts, the only problem i found is u cant you know put them on and walk over to the tree, and same as when you come down i always hang and take them off it started to scuff the underside of the shank had them for like 7 mnths and they got scuffed heaps, so i sold them to a guy at work and got the alloys, i think far better, you can hardly tell the weight differennce as well, caddies are alright there comfy as from like the first time you wear them as some other take a but of wearing in, and they get softer over time...more comfy.... however i use the alloy geckos with leather foot straps and there kick ass now days we get tree gaffs and grind them down to a medium length to our liking.

cheers, Cole
