I once had a dump trailer, sold it and missed for 6 years until I bought another one. It is so handy to load over the low sides, front or rear. You can drop it off on site, help loads it up, you pick it up when it is done and pull it to dump in your nice comfortable, ac'd drive around pick. You could have a few of these and they come in all sizes and concentrate your money on the locomotive (PU). You eliminate big truck registration, insurance and when empty it's gotta help on the mpg's? |

ive got a 14' tandem dump trailer. I stuff it full and get decent rates and the landfill. Hauls my skid-steer. Low sides are great. Def. love driving around in my pick-up truck vs dump truck when possible.

I've got the 14 foot tandem as well. Love having the stereo and ac on way to dump too. Only prob I got w this one is it doesn t have brakes like the last one I had. Picked it up in a fire sale tho (I didn t need it/ the guy was desperate to sell). 2500 for 07 Dandydump. You got the barn doors on yours CutRite? I may consider converting mine as I always got to move to open single gate.

Yes, has the barn door. 4 foot sides with pockets that ive added 2 foot wooden sides on. I take the sides off and on when loading. Electric brakes work great. I keep two batteries, one is always charged and waiting. Ive some how managed to use this method instead of buying a chipper. I am so sick of climbing in that trailer to cut it down. Dangerous as well. I have been in the market for a chipper for a few years now. I bought a 16 foot kodiak dump truck a few months back that just sits in wait for a 18 inch chipper. You chip? |

18 inch chipper sounds good but may be hard in and out of driveways and you are chipping good firewood and it may take you longer to buy one because of the cost. Why you got your sights set on such a large chipper? | |

Ive just used a bunch of chippers and like the size of something that will just eat up a tree, and not wear out with 12 inch logs. 18 inch is just so impressive, It makes me sick to watch it devour a tree without cutting off limbs. I dont firewood at all. Some day maybe, but I live in the south, and wood is easy to come by for the few cold months. The city dump actually lets people come and get all they want, and charge $ 32 a ton to dump, and that is going up. They turn around and make mulch. I do not go the the city dump though. I take it to a landfill in the country for $ 25- 35 a dump load depending on which dump. I might have 8-10,000 lbs in a trailer load. Pretty cheap for how much I stuff into the 7.5 by 14 footer. I just want to have wood chips to give away and logs for the mill. Seems the bc 1800 is compact and light enough to get it where I want it and ive been looking for one with a winch. Price for used in my range is about 15-20,000 U.S. dollars. I know how much time it would save. Looking forward to it. What chipper do you use. Im considering anything larger than 13 inch chipper. Ekka, I think youve been using a bc 1800 correct? My buddy likes his. I will be out of the office for a few days so I wont reply for a while. I am heading to smith Mt. lake in Virginia, about two hours north of my house to meet some friends, boat, scuba dive, fish, drink beer and cook out. Also Ekka, I saw that you brew beer, I think. I posted a reply back when, Ive been brewing for 10 yrs. Getting to be so much more expensive just to get ingredients now. Your set up looked nice. |

| I'll pm you if I run into anything AJ. I am not in the loop of what is out there if I am not buying something. Truck trader Dayton or Cinci has always got a lot of choices. My Mack was on the cover when I bought it. Got a good deal and traded a t d for part of it. Not the first time I ve done that.
