Default Chipping dry tree branchs

I'm planning on hiring a large chipper from Kennards to do some wood chipping around our property.

Can branches that have dried out (were cut down 3 weeks ago) be woodchipped safely?

What about older branches - that are completely dried out?

Thanks.

No worries, whack them all through.

Keep knives sharp by getting soil/dirt out of it, so if old and rotten leave till last then whack them and return machine to Kennards.

When you put dry branches in, move away quickly otherwise you'll get hit with flying branches. They like the basically explode depending on species and can scratch you up if you're not careful.

It would cost one of those little Smart Cars that much :P I shudder to imagine how much my Discovery V8 would cost me for such a drive.

Kennards run a load of GreenMech chippers, they recently had a container load shipped from the UK. If my memory serves me right, the had a load of CM220MT55's, which have a 9" opening. They might even have some 1928's which are 7.5"x11".

Your comments about treating hire machines is universal - it happens worldwide. Ride it like you stole it!
