Default Chipper drum bearing greasing

Gday all

After quite a heated argument at work last year I thought I would ask you guys what your thoughts of greasing the bearings on the chipper drums were. Every boss Ive worked for before now has always told me no more than two pumps and now my current leading hand has said he has always greased it to the point of all the grease coming out every morning (some thirty plus pumps!) Just after some opinions/experiences please.

Cheers

If your boss likes wasting grease then let him, two to three pumps is enough, talk to the guys that fix them ?

Thanks mate,

I called vermeer in south brizzy and the head guy there told me a couple was enough then one of his mechanics walked past and overheard and said they must be purged daily. So I contacted vermeer in WA and they told me straight up it was purge daily. As you stated Ill just do what the boss has asked, its his company and money anyway.

Cheers
