Default Caravaggi Chipper PTO shaft pulling off centre

Hi All.

I have searched this site in the hope that I might find an answer to my problem. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find what I was after so apologies in advance for being so up front and asking for help.

I have owned a Caravaggi Bio 150 chipper since 2001. I only use it around my few acres here (I live on the NSW Central Coast) and am very happy with the machine.

I have noticed that the PTO shaft has started to be pulled off centre. This is having the effect that as the rotor spins around, the blade is hitting the inside of the right side panel of the chipper, causing the right hand end of the blade to be worn away quickly and the blade forms fracture lines down the blade. Needless to say the chipper is now in parts and wont be reassembled / operating until I can fully ensure it is safe to work with again ... not interested in having metal shrapnel flying about at high speed.

Parts of the manual that came with the chipper is written in Italian. I have translated these parts into English, but it doesn't provide me with much help.

I have emailed Caravaggi in Italy, and am hoping they will reply ... but based on a comment elsewhere (NZ. Help. Caravaggi Chipper) regarding Caravaggi's capacity to reply I am not all that hopeful.

I have contacted Parklands. It is my understanding that they are the distributors for Caravaggi. Parklands have been great in supplying parts, but understandably they are not able to refer me to anyone who can service this machine.

I was assuming (and please correct me if this assumption is wrong) that a rotating shaft pulling off centre would *not* be unique to a chipper. I have contacted the agricultural machinery repairs listed in the Yellow Pages in my area, but unless the machine is the brand they deal with (e.g. Kubota tractors) they are not interested in touching the machine.

So here are my questions:
1. can anyone suggest / refer me across to a machinery repair company on the NSW Central Coast who may be able to look at this machine?
and
2. has anyone had a similar problem with the PTO shaft pulling off centre and can refer me on to information on how I can fix this (me repairing this is admittedly a less desirable option given the possible risks mentioned above, but I do undertake most of the maintenance on my machinery)?

I am reluctant to take the machine to SIMS as it wasn't cheap to buy, and except for the shaft currently pulling off centre, it is a top little machine that suits my needs perfectly.

Many thanks in advance for any suggestions or ideas
