When you have to deal with the crap people have planted here over 200 years & let go wild you would want one too.

Thanks for the info on the Barnel polesaw, I didn't think I'd use it much but I do.

We have used the crane you see in this link. It can take on trees up to 1 meter in diameter. We used it to cut down Fagus Sylvatica ( 90 cm diameter and 30 meters high). This crane has to clamps?? with which it can hold the tree. The only thing you have to do is cut it than the the crane lifts it and puts it down. Comes in very handy when you have a lot of big trees to cut which cannot come down regular. No climbing or riding a crane. you have to have a little space because its a 25-ton excavator on which the clamps?? are mounted.
