Default bb90xp weak hydraulic rollers

I'm new to the forum so first, hello everyone. I own a 91' maybe 92' bb90xp with a new deutz diesel. I think it's a 45horse. I'ts been very reliable, well running machine except the feed rollers seem to be unusually weak, and stop very easily even with the smaller stuff. The hydraulic level is good and no signs of leaks any where. Is it likely that both pumps would be failing? It does not have a hydraulic lift. Just doesn't seem to be enough pressure. Any suggestions?

I no of the machines and have used them in the past... usually have 3 cylinder air cooled 45 hp deutz. Have you checked the hydralic motors? perhaps they need a service or a pressure test?

Sounds like the rings in the pump are worn, probably needs replaced.

perhaps the belt that drives the hydrolic pump that supplies the feed rollers is loose.

I have a 2000 90XP with the 86hp Perkins diesel. When I chip extremely dead trees I leave the trapdoor under the lower feed wheel open. It helps with the rollers not turning. Dead maple especially. Seems that they break into just the right size to jam the wheel. Hope this helps. I agree, check the belt that runs the pump, and if it looks glazed just replace it.
