| Anyone use a 6.3 mtr Barnel polesaw? I have a job where only this type of saw is suitable, I was thinking of a Silky but the price is high, and the Barnel add says they are the best. I have to order by Wednesday, the dealer sells both. I'd be very grateful for any help as I haven't used this type of saw. ![]() |

| Im on my 2nd one whos your dealer i got mine from forestry tools.certainatly a good bit of kit the double locking of the extensions is a good idea just make sure you dont get caught under a cut as once the extensions get bent they wont slide back in the saw's proberly not as good as silky but still gives good service,in 3 years use ive replaced saw 3 times |

| Thanks, I hadn't thought about it bending, I'm used to wacking things away from me with mine, I've had a Power Pruner for years. With the extra length I shouldn't have that problem. Forrestry tools is where I was looking, Woodchuck has ARS. I managed to get a look at one and the Silky but not the Barnel. Do you have the Samurai blade on yours? ![]() |

| I like the huayuche, even useful in the tree, but ordered a barnel because it seems to have some advantages. I'll let you know...

| They're very well made, but they want a lot for them. I use one but give my crew Jameson equipment - its a little more durable. Barnel.com: Pole Pruners/Saws/Accessories from Barnel USAŽ |

| Well I got it, tried it out today. [rained most of last week & I didn't get a chance] Thanks guys, I'm glad I decided on the Barnel, it's no Stihl but it works and I've picked up 3 small jobs for it this week that I would not have worried about. The quick detachable head is a great idea, I think I'll get the lopping head as well, I can see a use for it. Looks like it'll do the job I wanted it for, won't have time for pics on that one. |

| warning: the sections can misalign with impact, so you may have to dissemble the fittings to get the buttons to act right. It's a brutish tool but should be handled gently. ![]()
