Does anyone know if arborist rope will hold up if used for lines on a boat in the sun and elements? After seeing a piece of Tachyon my friend is asking me to make him four eye spliced docking lines. Seems that the color pattern of Tachyon matches his boat and now he must have matching docking lines. My only question is whether or not this will hold up out in the weather everyday when compared to standard double braided boat dock lines. I don't want to go through the trouble of eye splicing four lines if they will only last a few months outdoors. Any opinions? |

| Thanks for the response. I assumed as much considering regular dock lines can be purchased pretty cheaply. I figured that there couldn't really be any better materials used for dock lines than those used in arborists rigging and climbing lines.
